Children in the Dell Yew Dell Gardens

Free with parent admission. Intended for children from 5-12 years old. Parents must stay on the grounds and are invited to participate in the day’s activities. This popular Saturday morning program is the perfect opportunity to give children a chance to spend some time with all that is green. We will engage the children in everything from planting and growing veggies to nature-inspired scavenger hunts and a whole lot more. Whatever happens to be in season will be the topic du jour. Preregistration encouraged – drop-ins welcome as space allows.

Taught by award-winning singer/songwriter and children's educator Pamela Jay.

7-12 years old (maximum 10 children)
3 Wednesday mornings, July 19th, 26th and August 2
9:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
$35 for members, $45 for non-members( includes a copy of Pamela's award-winning children's CD, Heart-Shaped Rocks!)

Children will deepen their relationship with the natural world and awaken their imaginations as they explore the beauty of Yew Dell's gardens and woodland trails and learn to "tune into" the music of nature.

Campers will enjoy playing Yew Dell instruments( no experience is required), hiking, singing and songwriting, improv movement, musical games, working as a team to create musical "soundscapes" and creating their very own whimsical found object /nature instrument to take home! More
