Enjoy holiday teas, decorating gingerbread houses, touring a designer show house with all its festive holiday décor, plays, crafts, Breakfast with Santa, lots of light-ups and various opportunities for having your picture taken with Santa! Dough Baby Donuts is creating weekly mead and cider inspired donuts to enjoy with Hive & Barrel Meadery’s craft ciders, meads and barrel aged meads. Holiday Designer Show House

The Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation will open the doors of the property’s historic farmhouse once again with a Holiday Designer Show House to benefit the organization’s herd of nearly 450 retired racehorses. The house will be grandly decorated inside and out with exquisite décor by Cherry House Galleries, KP Design, Hound & Hare LLC, Jason Jennings Interior, Debhelin Designs, Living Spaces, Little Mount Lavender Company, Julia Carstanjen, Mandeline Hetzel Interiors, and All Lit Up. This year’s event has been expanded to include the entire farmhouse and the barn.

Kicking off the nine-day event will be a Preview Night Party on Thursday, December 1, from 6 – 10 p.m. Guests will enjoy cocktails, heavy hors d’oeuvres, seasonal entertainment, an exclusive tour of the historic farm house and an opportunity to meet some of our designers. Tickets for the Preview Night Party are $75 per person.

Light Up La Grange 2022

The 37th Annual Light Up La Grange is shaping up to be the best ever! You and your family and friends will find lots to do with activities spread out across the city. The Winter Market will be in Pavilion 2 and Candy Cane Making in Pavilion 1 at CityPlace. Located in the Springs Park Farmers Market Pavilion will be cookie decorating, choirs, bands, and more. AlleyLoop between 1st and Walnut will be filled with all kinds of fun children’s activities. All of the Main Street businesses will be open as well as have their storefronts decorated in hopes to win the competition for the best Christmas decorations. There will be Food Trucks galore. Santa will come into town on a fire truck and set up in the Dahlgren Family Pioneer Barn at the Oldham County History Center for pictures and treats. To top it all off, the sculpture at the entrance of Springs Park will be unveiled when we flip the switch to Light Up La Grange! Mark your calendars and join the fun!

Holiday Boat Parade

Come join in the first, and hopefully annual, Holiday Boat Parade presented by Juniper Beach Docks and Harrods Creek Boat Owners Association (HCBOA). Anyone welcome who would like to participate to launch at Juniper Beach Docks starting at 4 p.m. The ramp will be open and available to everyone! All will gather in front of the fuel docks and depart down the river sometime between 5:30 – 6 p.m.

4. Finish at Juniper Beach Docks

After the parade, all boats are welcome to raft on the docks and enjoy a bonfire and chili party on the banks of Juniper Beach Docks. This is a bring your own chair, BYOB, and bring a dish if you like event. Decorate your boat and join in the fun!

See over 600 Nativities on display from around the world. Join Foxhollow Farm staff, spiritual healers and vendors for the second annual Holiday Shopping and Spirit Faire! Saturdays with Spirit for the month of December will be filled with mystical vendors checking items off your holiday shopping list, plus take a break with a magical healing session! Chili samples will be offered, tour the farm with a fun hayride, then warm up by the fire circle. Make sure to stop inside the vendor room and sign up to win a gift basket valued at over $1,000 with mystical goodies. The main event for Saturdays with Spirit is all indoors but as the beauty of the farm uplifts you, you are encouraged to explore the farmland. A Hayride Tour of the farm will be offered between 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Stacy will utilize a variety of containers of different shapes and sizes, as she will give you plenty of ideas to experiment with your own greenery and vessel resources. Winter Solstice Sound Bath & Reiki

Beth Bersot and Jenny Shanks host this event at Foxhollow Farm. The farm extends a warm invitation to come out and enjoy the beauty of the farm for an evening celebrating the winter solstice. The evening will start with a guided meditation creating an intention for the season of the winter solstice, followed by programming participants crystal and surrendering to the blessing of Reiki + the frequency of the singing bowls. Meditation pillow and blanket provided. Please bring a yoga mat, water and anything else that calls to you for comfort. Each guest will receive a winter solstice salt bath blend with a crystal. All sales are final.

Help Santa Save Christmas, Again

A play written and directed by Bill Baker. This play is for children of all ages to enjoy.
Follow the action at the North Pole in the month leading up to Christmas. Santa struggles with the new electronic system the elves installed, to get rid of all the paper lists. RJ, (Rudolf, Jr.) son of Dancer and Rudolf, likes to play tricks on folks, including Santa, and gets into trouble. RJ wants to lead the sleigh someday; but, he doesn’t like the bitter peppermint oil that will keep his nose shining bright. Everything is going great this year and everything is ready on Christmas Eve, until a big, last-minute crisis. Can you help Santa save Christmas, again? Suitable for everyone.

Spice It Up! Program
