There is nothing like a girlfriend getaway to relax and recharge, and Oldham is the perfect place to do it! Whether you’re a book club, a yoga group, sisters, or carpooling neighbors, you can choose from three luxurious B&B’s in the country – just 20 minutes from downtown Louisville on I-71. Bluegrass Country Estate (Exit 22), Pillow and Paddock (Exit 22), and The Inn at Spring Run Farm (Exit 14) provide the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. Each has its own unique décor, and amenities that will make your time here pass too quickly!
Soak in the hot tub and pool at Bluegrass Country Estate, take a cooking class at The Inn at Spring Run Farm with Chef Jeff, the innkeeper, or dine on the wrap-around porch of Pillow and Paddock. Your stay will be memorable no matter which you choose! If you have a large group of girls or you want to cook your own meals, check out one of our vacation rental homes!

Kim’s Tidbits: Cheryl is the innkeeper at Bluegrass Country Estate bed and breakfast horse farm and lives there with her 2 dogs and 2 horses. She has an in-ground pool, a theater room, movies, popcorn machine, a pool table, a gym, a hot tub (public), and 9-acres to explore on. If you would like a place to just relax – with the idea of not having to do much else – then, BCE will provide you with enough things to do on-site. Breakfast is included and dinner can be for an additional cost. If you are traveling with your horses, your hostess can take you as her guest for a beautiful ride in the country overlooking some incredible farms. Everything you need for your Girlfriend Getaway can be found here…without ever leaving, if that’s what you need!
If you want a real Kentucky experience, you can’t beat The Inn at Spring Run Farm bed and breakfast! Surrounded by original log walls, original ash floors, and stone fireplaces, but with luxurious modern bathrooms (some shared), Jeff is the innkeeper and offers the perfect place to relax. A Chef himself, Jeff whips up a fantastic breakfast that offers you a one-of-a-kind Kentucky foodie experience. Dinner options are also available. A huge patio complete with fire pit and a working horse farm nestled in the woods, Jeff and Susan’s B&B is the epitome of Kentucky relaxation and escape! They live next door.
Pillow and Paddock bed and breakfast is casually elegant! Weather permitting, outdoor lovers can dine on the wrap-around porch or back veranda. Occasionally, breakfast can be eaten outside and shared with deer, wild turkeys or Canadian Honkers munching in the pasture. Afternoons and early evenings can be spent playing croquet, horseshoes or engaging in a “corn hole” tournament with Francesca and Don, the innkeepers who live on-site, or other guests. Take a cool drink to the front porch if you’d rather watch from one of the rockers.
